I look around to see if anybody else but that guy saw it.

… just blowing off some steam after a crazyyy day of writing promo emails.

And after a few swings with my driver, the head snaps off and flies 100 yards out!

Craziest thing I’ve ever seen!

Then the guy next to me that saw it happen starts waving everybody down…

“STOP STOP STOP!”

He yells.

"This guy lost his driver! Let him run out and get it!”

People start staring at me 👀

I look like a complete idiot!

So I bolt out into the range as fast as I can to grab my club head before these guys start smacking balls right at my head 😅

Thankfully…

THERE’S A PRO SHOP RIGHT ON SITE AT THE RANGE!

So I trott my way there to get my club fixed…

“Hey guys… my club snapped in half…”

“Whoa whoa whoa waddya have here?” Said the older bald gentlemen with his thick southern accent.

“It just snapped off after I hit the ball…”

“Goodness gracious son! You trying to murder the ball!? What did that ball ever do to you!?”

“😑”

“Hahah I’m juss messin’ with ya sonny… look let me see what I can do for ya but I don’t know…”

Which…

Don’t they all say that!?

Anytime I’ve hired someone to fix ANYTHING — they make you feel like you’re so stupid you even think this can be fixed — then they fix it anyway!

“I don’t know man…this thing looks toast… probably can’t do it…”

** 10 minutes later **

“Whew — good thing I’m so awesome, I figured it out”

Hahahah.

Well, unfortunately that wasn’t the case with my driver.

Old Bald Guy spent over an HOUR trying to fix my driver… BUT COULDN’T!

Something about the glue… or adapter? Or epoxy?

I don’t know.

I stopped paying attention after he over-explained it to death as if to compensate for not being able to fix it.

So I point blank ask him:

“What do I do with it?”

“Throw it away. It’s garbage.”

“Thats a $300 driver…”

“No sir, that’s a $0 dollar.”

“😑”

So I toss in my bag and head home a little bummed out…

UNTIL!

I tell my wife exactly what happened and she offers to help me find a new driver!

(What a smokin’ hot and generous wife I have!)

Most wives would tell you that’s God’s sign to quit the sport. Haha.

But Adri has a KNACK for finding deals!

We have a mutual agreement in our house that I don’t shop for ANYTHING!

Because somehow I end up paying above full price for everything but somehow… magically… she can find almost anything half off!

Which is exactly what she did for my new driver…

EXCEPT BETTER!

She found me a brand spankin’ new Taylormade Qi35 driver (a $599 driver) for a mere $112!!! (BRAND NEW)

“There is NO WAY this is real…”

“It looks very real.”

“Let me verify if this is a legit dealer”

** quickly googles dealer **

“Wow, it says they are one of the most reputable dealers in the golf industry since 1988 with over 5 million orders”

“Great, I’ll buy it!”

“I still don’t believe it… it doesn’t make sense”

“God is trying to bless you”

“I WILL TAKE IT LORD!”

She clicks BUY NOW.

I’m giddy!

What a happy little accident!

Next thing I know I am planted by the front window waiting for FedEx to arrive with my brand new Driver.

“I just clicked buy… it won’t be here for another couple days…”

“I’ll wait…”

But then a day goes by… two days… three days… five days… seven days…

And no driver ☹️

So I ask Adri if she could reach out and see what’s going on!

And to my utter demise — they reply with this email.

Which to me is a direct violation of Rule #12 in Client Casanova.​

Whenever YOU make a mistake in your business — the customer should not have to pay the consequences.

In fact…

You can turn mistakes into massive PROFIT opportunities if you do it exactly how I teach you.

And no it’s not just, “honor the price” and ship the product.

There’s a twist to it to where if this company did it right… they could have had their hand in my wallet like a kid on Christmas Eve digging into the cookie jar!

But they are BLOWING IT!

Stupid stupid stupid mistake!

Don’t be like these guys.

Instead, apply Rule #12 like a G and make MORE MOOLAH!
