Happppyyyyy Friiiiii— Monday!? It’s just Monday???? Are you kidding me?? 😲 Wow well you know what that means! A freshly squeezed episode of #AskAlinAnything… Let’s dive in! Our first question comes from Ayish Hello dude So I have been getting Stefan Georgi daily emails and he talks about this AI called freeadcopy. Can u pls check if it is really that good ? In my opinion it is not because it is powered gpt after all . But I really need an expert opinion and that software have forewords from frank kern. First off — please don’t call me dude. Or “Bud.” Or gosh I cannot stand it when people call me bud. (Side note — when I was dating my now wife, she called me “bud” and I almost broke it off right then and there haha true story) Now that that’s out of the way 😅 My honest take on AI software has definitely changed over the last 6 months. Here’s what I would say: FreeAdCopy just looks like a ChatGPT wrapper where these guys have fed it copywriting lessons and prompts so it already knows the basics. You can do the same with ChatGPT. Literally buy a PDF of John Carlton’s Kick Ass Marketing Rebel Secrets… Upload that PDF to your own custom GPT and tell it to master John’s copywriting wisdom. (You can buy more PDFs like Breakthrough Advertising and keep teaching it) The truth is… There will only be two types of copywriters left in the future: The Bots And The Best! *Hat tip to Kevin Rogers for that verbiage And my word of warning to you is — Yes, with good prompts — ChatGPT can actually write decent copy. But when you decide that this is the way you want to go — you are foregoing your ability to ever become the best! Because by NOT writing the copy, your skillset will won't sharpen. To me personally — the Copy Goat — my goal is to truly become one of top Copywriter’s alive. (Which I am well on my way) And so using ChatGPT (Or any other AI tool) would actually hurt my ability to master the craft deeper (and yours too) BUT… A great way to use ChatGPT is for research. Feed it a bunch of PDFs and URLs and have it spit out great research for you that you then digest and write on. To sum up:
I know I didn’t give you an exact answer about the software but instead I gave you my Philosophy for thinking about AI as a whole. Because softwares come and go — you should have a decision-making philosophy in place so when the next software comes up… You already know the answer 🙂 On to the next! But a big red flag for research 🚩 Don't build any of your research from social media posts (X, Instagram, TikTok, etc) Because social media is a highlight reel. It is literally a facade of highly curated content. Which means very rarely will anybody ever post real, authentic thoughts on social media. (Which inherently leads to horrible research because you’re basically targeting their lies haha) BUT! People are hecka honest in private community groups like Reddit, Facebook Groups, and even better… When you know what they bought! Say your target audience already bought one product on “health supplements” — chances are they’ll buy another! Hope this steers you in the right direction. Alrightttyyy Roo!
