Yesterday, I went on a Facebook Marketplace rampage!

I was snapping pics of practically anything I could find in my house to get rid of.

“Sneakers! Look at all these sneakers! You can only wear one pair at a time… who needs 50 pairs!?”

“Wow I’ve got so many guitar pedals… THOSE. HAVE. GOT. TO. GO!”

“Goodness me this is alot of cool camera gear! But my youtube channel is so simple… BYE!”

“Woooooooow look at all these copywriting books and courses… there must be $10K in just books! What gold mines, let me tuck these away safely and never sell them.”

Now time to put this all up on Facebook Marketplace...

A couple of hours later, I’ve added 33 new items for sale.

Then The Flood of Messages Comes In!

And most make me want to SMASH MY PHONE!

“Sir do you ship?”

(Literally says it on the post that shipping is available…)

“Would you deliver?”

(Do I look like a courier!?)

​

“$30”

(For a pair of Yeezys!? Are you high!?)

​

And so on.

After a couple of hours of these shenanigans, I thought about taking it all down.

I’ll just give it away. I can’t do this

Then I did the math…

THE AMOUNT OF TIME IT TAKES TO POST, NEGOTIATE & SELL THIS CRAP IS WHAT IT WOULD TAKE TO MAKE A NEW PRODUCT!

Man!

I could literally give this stuff away and put that time into building a new product for my email list…

And make MORE money AND help people!

Unbelievable.

I freaking love the internet. I love email haha.

And thus I am reminded of a glorious but simple lesson.
