There’s been a bit of drama unfolding in CopyCreator Club the last few days that Your Fearless Leader (Hiya 👋) had to handle.

Here’s the full scoop…

Last week, I posted a job opportunity in our club for a $5,000/mo Copywriting Gig.

(That’s one of the perks of being in CopyCreator… first dibs on opportunities I never send my list 😜)

The job came from CopyCreator Club Member Zac Garside.

He’s the Co-Founder and CEO of Send It Email Marketing.

But within a couple hours of me posting that job in our community — another club member whom we’ll call Jack — dropped this comment:

To me… this sounds like a direct accusation of business fraud or some personal controversy or whatever…

But before making snap judgements for either side…

I decided to dig in further myself.

So I scoured the internet to see if I can find something about Zac and his company that I maybe hadn’t seen before… I clicked at least twenty links on google (even made it to the second page of Google which I’m not sure I’ve ever been there LOL).. had Claude do Deep Research for me… went to his website… verified the customers on his website are real companies… I even checked his employees LinkedIn profiles to verify all that…

And you wouldn’t believe what I found…

NOTHING!

In the meantime… our club members started getting involved because obviously… they wanna know why the crap they shouldn’t connect with this guy about his $5,000/mo gig…

One club member direct messaged me saying:

“Hey man, you should check if someone hacked that dudes profile. What a random ass cryptic warning with no context at all. Has mispellings and everything.”

Another club member DM’d & said:

“Yo is this guy trying to deter people away so he can snag this gig? That’s dirty 🤣”

Even Zac replied to Jack’s comment with:

“Ummm what? I’d love to know what “due diligence” you found.”

Clearly…

I HAD TO FIGURE OUT WHAT THE CRAP IS GOING ON!

Something smelt reeeeeeal fishy to me.

So first I reach out to Zac.

Here’s what I said:

Usually, I would have asked Zac “Do you know what this guy is talking about?” but based on his earlier public comment — he clearly had no idea.

Then Zac replied with this:

What in the world is going on!?

So I asked Zac what the heck he was talking about.

Zac told me that he did a post inside of CopyCreator Club because he landed an interview with one of the biggest podcasts in his niche.

And apparently our boy Jack had a big raccoon up his gluteus assimus cause he immediately keyboard warrior’d this comment on that post:

At this point, I’m getting a little pissed me.

More vague comments.

More random accusations for “due diligence” and “made some research about you” — yet no one knows what you're saying amigooo!

SO I DIRECTLY REACHED OUT TO OUR RACCOON AZZ BOY, JACK…

My entire message to him was very simple — I said:

“Can you specify what you’re referring here?” with a screenshot of his comments.

I intentionally left it open ended on the very off chance that Jacko Boy was telling the truth and found something incredibly DIRTY ROTTEN & NASTY about Zac... (like how I found out he was a missionary for Jesus for 5 years… REAL nasty stuff).

Well, buckle up…

Cause our boy Jacko sent me this back:

The second I read that I was like…

HAHAHA APPARENTLY SOMEONE FORGOT WHO RUNS THIS PLACE!

So basically…

You’re a Duck McScrooge who (now confirmed) has a raccoon up your gluteus assimus because you couldn’t figure out how to work google to find his website, have zero proof of accusations… and you’re mad at a young guy who is crushing his agency and to top it all off… you have the GALL to speak to me, a 33 year old grown man who has been doing this marketing thing since you were a mere twinkle in your daddy's eye, like an insolent child?

Immediately…

I BANNED him from my club, my email list, my product cart & even my YouTube Channel.

Then I sent him this email…

Jack,

I want to close the loop on the exchange we had about Zac Garside.

Before his job post ever went up, I had already looked into his background which is exactly why I asked you to elaborate on your accusation instead of accepting it at face value.

Here’s what I found:

-His website is live and active: https://www.withsendit.com/, with real products and photos of his actual staff

-He’s appeared at trade shows and on podcasts in our industry

-The clients on his website have live URLs to their real website

-His LinkedIn shows his company was acquired 5 months ago, after 3 years in business (both verified)

-I spoke with Zac directly before his job post went up

-He’s hired people in our industry before — in fact, one of our own club members applied to work with him last year — and I spoke directly with someone who worked with Zac about their experience.

Your message accused a fellow club member of running a potentially fraudulent business, with no specifics to back it up other than your false skepticism (which your own message to me even claimed you had “no proof”).

What I found doesn’t match what you described at all. So we’re looking at two very different stories, which is exactly why I asked you to elaborate rather than take your version outright. Clearly, I was right to not accept your accusations at face value.

Beyond the facts being wrong, the tone of your message was incredibly disrespectful and childish — both toward him and toward me.

You claimed me a naive business operator and I have absolutely ZERO tolerance of being disrespected in my business.

Given that, I’ve removed you from CopyCreator Club, effective immediately. I’ve also processed a full refund for the remainder of your current billing cycle — you were only 11 days into your billing cycle but I refunded the entire month.

You’re also blocked from rejoining the club in the future, and I’ve removed you from my email list as well.

There’s no need to respond to this email.
